The Roman Government disliked Jesus and Christianity for the same reason the Meccans dislike the Prophet Muhammad and his Message of Islam: because they were introducing something new/alien to the general public. The government knew that the emersion of the new religion would change the running of the state and the citizens'/peoples' living plans/standards.
