As they are squares, you can square root the area ofeach of the squares to give you 5 units. Then count each of the sides, which is 12, times by 5 which gives you a perimeter of 60 units.

The perimeter is 60 units.
perimeter is going around the outside of the figure. Each side of the figure is 5 units.
